
Anmé Rojas has been dancing since age 10. She first studied at the Escuela de Ballet Teatro Teresa Carreño, under the direction of Irina Ivanova. She continued her training with the Ballet Nacional de Caracas II Compañia under the direction of Vladimir Issaev. She joined the Ballet Nacional de Caracas under the direction of Vicente Nebrada in 1996. She performed in all national and international productions.
In 2000, she danced with the Ballet Contemporaneo de Caracas in 2000, and toured in China and Israel. A member of the Sarasota Ballet of Florida since 2001, she has performed classical repertoire, neoclassical, contemporary and jazz styles. During the last three seasons she was seen performing roles in Sarasota Ballet’s productions such as, Paquita, Swan Lake, Nutcracker, La Boutique Fantasque and Midsummer Night’s Dream (by Robert De Warren), Carmen (by Alberto Alonso), Dvorak-American (by Ricardo Bustamante), Anne Frank, Cats and Dogs and Rite of Spring (all by James Buckley) among others. Currently, she is dancing as a Soloist for the Sarasota Ballet.
