ZGD Company Information 2007-2008

Dear Students:

First we would like to say a BIG Thank You to all who auditioned this season for the ZGD Company.

The ZGD staff and I are looking forward to a wonderful season together with lots of exciting events planned.

I would like to take some time to go over with all of you how the audition process worked this season so there is no confusion as to where students are placed in the company. So that we could be objective, we decided it was best to hire outside dance professionals as judges to evaluate the dancers based on Technique, Performance/Style, Comprehension, and Professionalism. The students learned a quick combination, went across the floor, and were asked to demonstrate a turn sequence of their choice. Auditions are based solely upon the performance during the audition, not previous dance performance. We feel auditions are great educational learning experiences for students regardless of the outcome.

We are extending the due date for the Adrenaline fees to Tuesday, September 18th. We want to make sure that we get the early deadline price so be sure to turn in your fees on time to the ZGD office. They have been posted to your account.

We will be placing orders for Company Uniforms this Friday. If you opt not to be in the Company, please notify the office immediately so we do not order you a uniform. Uniforms are $60.00.

Company tuition is $40.00 per month. We will prorate September for you a fee of $20.00.

I have attached our policies for you to re-read so you are 100% clear on the structure for this season.

Those who did not make the Company, we encourage you to try again next year. Continue your hard work in class and stay focused.

Rehearsals will begin Saturday, September 22nd. A detailed schedule will be posted later this week. Please request any absences for the first half of the season by next Saturday. An absence request form is available in the ZGD office and must be filled out. Congratulations to our 2007-2008 ZGD Company Members!!!!
